Oak Grove is a safe place for your kids to learn about Jesus.

Your First Visit

FROM THE MOMENT YOU PULL INTO THE PARKING LOT, YOU’LL SEE FRIENDLY FACES EAGER TO WELCOME YOU AND HELP YOU FIND YOUR WAY!

You can bring your kids to the entrance of Beckwith Hall in the back parking lot, where you will be directed to the appropriate age classroom for your child. We want to serve you and your child well, so we’ll take some time to get to know you and ask you to fill out some paperwork about you and your child. We will ask about allergies and collect your contact information. After that, we will give you and your child matching stickers with the child’s name on it and your cell phone number (in case we need to reach you). If we do need to reach you, someone will either text you (on your cell number), or we will come to your Small Group room or the Worship Center to get you. When you go to pick up your child, you will need the 2nd sticker in order for that child to be released to you. This is for your child’s safety and for our volunteers to make sure that the correct person is picking your child up. Once you have your stickers, we will help you bring pre-school children (infants up to 5 years old) down to our infant or toddler nursery. Children in kindergarten and older will be in the Worship Service with their parents.

KIDS

1st & 2nd Grade | Beckwith Hall • Room 213a
3rd - 5th Grade | Beckwith Hall • Room 211

School aged children begin hearing more in-depth, applicable Bible stories that can be seen through the basic lens of our culture today. They do activities, create crafts and various tangible lessons that allow for growth as they learn about Jesus. The goal is always to share the Gospel with these kids as they come, plug in, and participate in Small Group. There are also opportunities provided for the kids to hang out together, grow in their relationships with one another, and to simply have fun! We encourage kids and families to invite and bring their neighbors, classmates, and family members with them as Oak Grove Kids Ministry continues to grow and thrive within our church.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Oak Grove Kids provides an active program for kids on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:00-7:30pm. Dinner is provided for the kids before they go on to enjoy a fun evening of Bible learning, Scripture memory, and recreation.

We encourage parents to bring their kids as we work through the Bible in fun, unique ways. God’s Word is so vital to the spiritual development of children, and we want to be able to come alongside parents and support kids as they grow to know and be changed by Jesus.
